Temperature Sensors

Fibre-Optic Temperature Mini Sensors
The fibre-optic temperature sensors rely on thermal quenching of photoluminescence and are optimized for the innovative REDFLASH technology from PyroScience. The optical temperature sensors are characterized by extreme photo-stability, small size of the sensor tip (minisensors), ultra-fast response times (<0.1 s in water), and do not show interferences with gases (such as oxygen) and ionic species.

Temperature Sensor Spots
Temperature sensor spots allow temperature measurements in closed sample containers with contactless read-out through a transparent window (glass, acryl glass) with special adapters and optical fibres for fibre-optic meters from PyroScience. In combination with optical oxygen and pH sensor spots, they enable true temperature compensation of these sensors for precision measurements in closed incubations.

Temperature Vials
Based on the contactless sensor technology, PyroScience offers ready assembled vials with integrated sensor stripes for all supported analytes. The glass respiration vials have screw caps with a septum, and are available with ca. 20mL (uncalibrated) volume. Adapter rings allow an easy fixation of optical fibres for read-out with optical meters from PyroScience for incubations in closed vials. The elongated shape of the sensor spots allows also measurements at different heights within the vial using several fibres/adapter rings in parallel.
