PyroScience Underwater Oxygen Measurement
The AquapHOx series of data transmitters and loggers can be combined with a broad range of oxygen, total scale pH and temperature sensors for multiple applications down to 4000m water depth including:

  • Long term oxygen monitoring in ocean habitats
  • High sensitivity trace oxygen measurements in oxygen minimum zones or de-oxygenation events
  • Measurement of ocean pH with neglectable impact of salinity
  • Profiling over surface structures in sediments and along gradients at high spatial resolution

The AquapHOx range are ideally suited for monitoring critical parameters and their dynamics in different ocean habitats, including open ocean, the deep sea and coastal habitats like coral reefs or coastal waters.

The FireSting system is based on the unique REDFLASH sensor materials which are excitable with red light and show an analyte-dependent luminescence in the near infrared (NIR). This technology provides high precision, high reliability, low power consumption, low cross-sensitivity and fast response times whilst significantly reducing interference caused by autofluorescent samples and ambient light.
