Deep Abyssal Measurement of Oxygen and pH
PyroScience have extended the range of their deep sea loggers and transmitters by 50% with the introduction of the new AquapHOx-LX6 and AquapHOx-TX6.
AquapHOx-LX6
The AquapHOx-LX6 logger is designed for long-term, stand-alone underwater operation down to 6,000 metres water depth for up to a year. Combined with a range of PyroScience optical oxygen or pH sensors it provides long-term monitoring down in the deep abyssal, touching the Hadal zone.
Featuring an integrated fast temperature sensor, the AquapHOx-LX6 is a highly sensitive device, capable of measuring trace levels in oxygen minimum zones or de-oxygenation events. It measures ocean pH on the total scale with negligible impact of salinity.
AquapHOx-TX6
The AquapHOx-LX6 is a real-time transmitter for stand-alone underwater operation down to 6,000 metres with an equivalent specification to the LX6. It can be combined with a broad range of optical oxygen or pH sensors, offering unmatched flexibility for multiple applications.
Combined with PyroScience ultra-high speed sensors, the AquapHOx-TX6 is ideal for the fastest oxygen water column profiling or oxygen flux measurements using aquatic eddy covariance even down to 6,000 metres.
