Accurate Measurement of ABV in Spirits and Liqueurs

With ambitious plans for production Master Distiller Jamie Baggott needed an instrument to accurately measure the ABV of the wide range of spirits and liqueurs produced. Following a demonstration Jamie chose the AlcoTest from QCL.

“We bought the AlcoTest because we need a reliable and accurate instrument to test our whole range of spirits and liqueurs without time consuming distillations. Since ramping up production we have found the AlcoTest to be very accurate and easy to use and we are very happy with the performance.”

The AlcoTest combines an automatic density meter with a refractometer to enable analysis of pure spirits like gin, whisky and vodka but also complex products like sloe gin, limoncello and other liqueurs without any sample preparation or distillations.

The sample is automatically pumped through the instrument ensuring repeatable results every time with a very low cost of ownership.
