Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE)  

Orion were the first company to develop Ion Selective electrodes (ISE) over 25 years ago. Since then the range has been constantly improved and expanded, now offering electrodes for 18 select ions. Ion selective electrodes are a proven method of determining ion concentrations in a wide variety of samples, making them applicable in virtually every laboratory.

Direct read is the most common use for ISE, requiring very little sample preparation. Ion concentration is displayed on the screen of an Orion ISE meter. Sample colour or turbidity does not affect measurement and typical analysis time is less than 1 minute. ISE's are also widely used with known addition and titration methods providing high accuracy and versatility.
