| NEXTChem Analysers |
|
Two types of measurement methods are used for almost all NEXTChem analyzers: titration and (ion selective) standard addition. Both types of measurements methods can be used on all NEXTChem analyzers at the same time; making each type of analyzer extremely flexible. Titration methods involve the addition of a reagent to the sample until an endpoint is detected with an electrode or colour probe. Most of the titrations utilized by the NEXTChem Process Analyzers fall with one of five different categories: acid/base, oxidation/reduction, complexation, precipitation, or colour. Measurements with the Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE) utilize the standard addition method. The standard addition method involves measuring the sample with the ISE before and after a know standard has been added and using the difference in the readings to determine the concentration of a specific ion.
The heart of a process analyzer is the way reagents are delivered to the measurement cell. With all NEXTChem analyzers precision reagent pumps are used to deliver reagents. Because of the use of advanced stepper motor technology these pumps are very accurate + 0.001 mL. The utilization of a superior seal material makes the precision reagent pump very low maintenance only requiring to be rebuilt once per year.
All NEXTChem analyzers are designed to operate filter-free; this type of sampling increases reliability and decreases maintenance. To make filter-free operation possible NEXTChem has created the “self-cleaning valve”. Utilizing the “self-cleaning valve” particles up to <6 mm can be easily handled. Large bore tubing is used to transfer the sample from the sample panel to the measurement cell 1/4” (6 mm) or 3/8” (9mm). Combining the self-cleaning valve with large bore tubing virtual eliminates the possibility of plugging; usually the most important issue in the operation of a process analyzer. |

| ECOChem |
|
 |
An inexpensive process analyzer. Its sample system can be designed for either automated dilution or a very dirty sample stream. The ECOChem can perform either a titration or ion selective measurement.
Precision Reagent Pump / Ring Pump
The heart of a process analyzer is the way reagents are delivered to the measurement cell. The ECOChem uses two types of devices to add the required chemicals. The precision reagent pump is used to deliver the reagent which requires high accuracy (+ 0.001 mL), for example an ammonia standard. Up to two rings pumps can be added to deliver reagents which do not require high accuracy, for example a cleaning acid.
GSM/SMS Modem
The ECOChem Analyzer can be equipped with a GSM/SMS Modem. With this modem the analyzer can send alarm messages and data to a specified number of mobile phones automatically. The analyzer will also respond to text messages from a specified number of mobile phones. These users can query the analyzer for data or other types of information. This capability gives the analyzer real-time remote control and access. |
 |
| HANDYChem |
|
 |
A cost effective process analyzer. Its sample system can be designed for either automated dilution or very dirty sample streams. Both titration and ion selective measurements can be done in the same unit.
GSM/SMS Modem
The HANDYChem Analyzer can be equipped with a GSM/SMS Modem. With this modem the analyzer can send alarm messages and data to a specified number of mobile phones automatically. This capability gives the analyzer real-time remote control and access. |
 |
| MINIChem |
|
 |
Can perform multiple analyses on a limited number of sample streams. In addition; the MINIChem can also control a limited number of pneumatic chemical feed pumps; giving it process control capability.
Process Control
OMNIChem and MINIChem Series Process Analyzers have the additional capability of on-board process control. This process control capability allows the analyzer to control chemical feed pumps being used to add chemistry to the chemical bath being controlled. This is done with pneumatic chemical feed pumps. The MINIChem can direct 1 chemical feed pump, the MINIChem-Plus 2 chemical feed pumps; the Basic OMNIChem can direct 4 chemical feed pumps, and the Advanced OMNIChem 8 chemical feed pumps.
Automated Sample Dilution
The MINIChem series of analyzers can be configured to measure very high concentrations. This is accomplished by utilizing a dilution measurement cell. The dilution measurement cell is used with an external sample capture loop (5-30mL). This allows sample with up to <2 mm particles to be captured filter-free and sample burettes are never used. |
 |
| OMNIChem |
|
 |
NEXTChem’s most advanced and capable unit. It can perform a great number of measurements on a large number of sample points. It can also provide extensive process control.
| CHIPChem |
|
 |
Features a clean room enclosure and a PFA Teflon sample system for multiple analyses of multiple semiconductor samples.
Multiple Sample Sizes
The CHIPChem series of analyzers can have up to two different size sample loops in a single analyzer. This allowing the analyzer make to measurements of samples which have very different chemical concentrations.
Micro Sample Dilution
The CHIPChem series of analyzers are configured to measure very high concentration chemistries. This is accomplished by utilizing a dilution measurement cell and micro sample dilution. The dilution measurement cell is used with an external micro sample capture loop (0.25 – 6.0 mL). All wetted surfaces are PFA Teflon. |
Ethernet
The CHIPChem can have an Ethernet port added. With this port the analyzer can send data with Modbus IP or OPC/DDE server. Using the Ethernet port the analyzer can be remotely accessed over the Internet or Intranet for programming updates and remote troubleshooting. The Ethernet port can also be used to automatically store data on any PC connected to the same network.
GSM/SMS Modem
The CHIPChem Analyzer can be equipped with a GSM/SMS Modem. With this modem the analyzer can send alarm messages and data to a specified number of mobile phones automatically. This capability gives the analyzer real-time remote control and access. |
