The ultimate in design and control of digestions for trace metals analysis. Built to comply with European Standard methods including ISO 11466:1995, DIN 38414 and BS 7755-3.9, the system features an aluminium hotBlock for 8 or 20 250ml glass tubes, water condensers, cold acid traps and accurate time/temperature control. Temperature control: from ambient up to 430°C.
The SMA system is supplied complete with insert rack for the 250ml tubes, water condenser rack, acid traps, exhaust manifold and all tubing required. The heavy tube and water condenser racks are raised using the automatic lift system. To fully automate the system a TZ time/temperature controller is supplied and is included in the price. The TZ can also be used to operate the lift system and regulate the flow of water through the condensers.
If cost is an issue then the simpler TR temperature controller is available. However, this is only recommended to be used on the 8-place system without lift where the weight of tubes, racks, condensers etc. is easier to manage manually. SMA systems can also be supplied without acid traps for the analysis of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) samples.
