This new system of analysis was developed to closely emulate official methods, but allow multiple extractions to be performed in each boiling vessel. Thus saving time and chemicals. A bonus of the FibreBag system was the discovery that filtration became easy and very quick compared to the traditional method. Filtration under vacuum and the problems that often occur have been eliminated. Throughput of tests per hour is increased by a factor of six. Accuracy and precision are also improved.
Samples are weighed into the FibreBags and a glass spacer introduced to allow free flow of reagent through the bag. The FibreBags are then placed into the carousel and the carousel lowered into the reagent in the beaker.
Using the Traditional Fibre digestion systems as a base each FibreBag digestion system FBS is supplied with a powerful single, 4 or 6 place EV hotplate. The relevant number of beakers, condensers, and carousels each holding 6 FibreBags are supplied according to the number of positions. Support rods with sliding beaker clip and condenser holder are also included along with carousel handle and glass spacers for FibreBags. FibreBags must be ordered separately.
