The Delta LactoScope FTIR Advanced is a Second Generation Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Analyser that measures the complete spectrum of a dairy sample. The large amount of information in a full spectrum allows the analysis of many components simultaneously. The FTIR spectrometer used is a patented pre-aligned Wish Bone Interferometer; this provides a robust and stabilised environment for analyses even under tough conditions as well as easy calibration transferability and absolute wavelength reproducibility with no need for standardisation.
The analyser uses state of the art software that guides you intuitively through Analysis and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) procedures. Results are simple to use and export direct in to reporting packages such as Microsoft Excel.
The Delta LactoScope FTIR Advanced has a capacity of up to 120 samples per hour and includes automatic zeroing, cleaning and sample preheating. The robust and reliable hydraulic flow system is suitable for viscous products and the design has easy accessibility.

Cheese Application
With the Cheese Application the Delta LactoScope FTIR Advanced can be used to analyse cheese to optimise the production process. The principle is based on liquefying the cheese with a patented solvent. In just 60 seconds a specially designed mixer obtains homogenous, stable milk like suspension that is ready for analysis on the LactoScope FTIR Advanced. Fat, protein, salt, moisture, and pH can be measured in a wide range of cheeses.
