Orion Oxygen Scavenger Monitor
The Orion 1818 Oxygen Scavenger Monitor is one of a series of
microprocessor-based analyzers designed to measure continuously trace
levels of certain oxygen scavengers in relatively pure water. The Orion
1818 Monitor continuously measures these oxygen scavengers at points
in the steam/water circuit where dissolved oxygen control is critical.
Common measuring points are in feedwater, boiler water, or economizer
inlet, depending on the system design and where the oxygen scavenger
is added. In high and low pressure boiler systems, oxygen scavengers
are added to react with dissolved oxygen present, many leaving behind
a small residual. This residual ensures that any small amount of
dissolved oxygen that enters the systems through leakage will be
removed.
